HOW BOOKING WORKS
TWO SEASONS OF DIGGING
Our digging packages take place during both Spring and Fall of each year. Due to high temperatures in Summer and ground freeze in Winter- this allows just six months where digging is most comfortable. Due to that we have our dates available only within the months of April-June and Sept-Nov. We open a limited number of packages to fill in the year and you book your package and pick your season. Dates are first come first serve and if your desired date is taken we will work with you to try to find the second best option. 2 People per dig package.
PAYMENTS
Once you decide what you would like to include or not include in the package you will add those packages to your cart and check out. We will get in touch within 48 hours of booking to ask you which season you would like to dig and what date is preferred for you. Once you let us know your date or dates we mark you down and schedule your dig. If for any reason you have to cancel we do offer a refund minus 20% of booking costs based on the fact the booking date was removed as an option for other diggers. We will can also reschedule to avoid the non-refundable 20%.
PLANNING YOUR TRIP
We are here for any questions or concerns you may have. Depending on the season you choose you might want to consider different items to bring for personal comforts. We will always provide the proper mining equipment and tools necessary so you do not need to pack or worry about those. Please visit our FAQ to see if there might be info there that is helpful for you as well.
CONFIRMATION
48 hours before your booking you should receive a text or email asking you to confirm your booking and let us know your arrival time into town. At that time if you have not already sent us back your waiver we will ask you to please make sure you have your waiver printed and signed. We will have waivers available at the Mine if you for any reason were unable to get yours prior. We will set up the appropriate time to meet you in the morning to transport you to the dig site from there.
FULL DAY OF DIGGING
We will try to provide you enough time to consider the day a full day of digging. We assume at least six hours for each dig but we will strive to have you there for more if we can. You get to keep everything you dig! 2 People per package with options to add more. Individual digs can happen if you would like to pair up with another individual to make up a 2 person package. We would have to just coordinate the same dates so must have flexibility on booking dates for this option to be possible.
WASHDOWN STATION
After the dig we will do some basic wash down of the crystals if you wish so you can see some of what you have collected. We will give you basic cleaning education so you can further clean your crystals at home. We transport you back to your accommodations and will help give you any info about the area we have for further plans you might have.

At Hidden Gem Mine we hope to bring you one of the best digging experiences you could have. This mine is completely private and we allow a very limited amount of digs per year. We want to have minimal impact and preserve the beauty of the area and plan to do all of our mining with a sustainable mindset.
