FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Each dig is priced to include up to 2 people. If you would like to include additional people to your dig you may for $200 per person with a cap of 4. Any more than 4 we consider a special event and please contact us and we will discuss the best way we can accommodate. If you would like to bring children please reach out and we can see how we can accommodate if possible as well. We do plan on having a section that is safer for children of all ages and hope to offer those packages separately as soon as possible. 

Yes! If you would like to dig by yourself there are two options. You may book the mine for the day for just you only -OR- if you do not mind being paired with another person and are flexible with your booking dates we do have that option for half price. For $250 you can secure one of two spots for the day and we would do our best to find you a day where you can be paired with another digger to complete a package. 

At the Hidden Gem Mine you can find Quartz, Calcite, Quartz with Marcasite or what could be now newly rumored as Goethite as well as Dolomite and Hydrocarbon or crystalized " Anthraxolite "

Yes, we provide a range of mining equipment including sledgehammers / rock hammers, steel wedges, chisels and eye protection. Gloves will be available for each dig. 

We prioritize safety in all our mining operations. Unfortunately there is a chance that anyone who does one of the digging experiences ( digging for minerals in general ) might have mild to moderate injury. We are there to monitor and teach proper mining and digging techniques and we will give you advice on limiting the chances of injury so you can take that knowledge with you in the future. 

Yes. We will have water and snacks on site for you. If you have any special dietary needs please bring your own snacks or drinks.

We recommend a travel pack or backpack on you for each dig. Some of the basics we would include is sunscreen, hat, insect spray, snacks, plastic baggies for your crystal finds, water bottle, any needed medications plus extra for emergency, back up charger for phone if you plan on doing filming etc.

Please consider including anything else you think you might need that you can carry without the weight being too heavy. Some of these trails are a short walk but some are more lengthy and you do not want to be left holding too much weight.  

Leave room for your crystal finds! 

Yes! We will have a wash station set up for you to get basic crystal cleaning as well as give you tips and tricks on how to clean them further at home.

*If you would like we also offer an add-on option for us to further clean, reconstruct the pieces we can and ship your crystals to you for an additional cost. 

Yes, we do consider payment plan options for special events or digs that have particular add-ons that might be considered a custom experience. There will be a % of package that will have to be put down and all payments are based on short term repayment plan options.
